Welcome back loves,
For those of you that don’t know I graduated from college last friday on May,19th. I got my associates in fashion merchandising and plan on getting my bachelors in fashion merchandising at LIM (Laboratory Institute Of Merchandising) Today i’ll be sharing the outfit I wore for graduation along side of my experience of dorming for college. Thank you for the support. Have an amazing day loves, God bless! XOXO
This is the outfit without any ironing guys. I decided to go with a two piece matching set because I felt that everyone was doing a dress. Plus the idea of my thighs rubbing together with all of my sweat equaled horrific chaffing.I’m love with this outfit.
This always seems to happen to me, the days that I have important events I take pictures with everyone but myself. So i’ll be sharing pics with you guys with family & friends. Majority of the pictures are with my boyfriend, graduation fell on the day of our 11 month anniversary.
One word to sum up the day of graduation would be overwhelming. Overwhelmed with emotions and overwhelmed with nervousness. I was so nervous because I was the leader of the graduate line. My boyfriend was right behind me so that calmed me down a bit but I was still super nervous. The reason we were the first in line was because we received the SUNY Chancellors award of Student Excellence. This award is given annually to the two students that are the most involved on campus. I ran two clubs, had 4 jobs, and graduated with a 3.6 GPA. My boyfriend was the captain of the basketball team for the two years, ran two clubs, had 3 jobs and graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
Things are going to be very different, I’m living at home to pursue my bachelors. LIM is in Manhattan on fifth ave. Im a huge advocate for dorming though. Im very happy that I did because now I know what works for me and what doesn’t when it comes to studying. I don’t think I was going to be able to do as well living at home and commuting my first two years. A bunch of distractions family, friends and etc.
Very grateful to have the support system that I have. First things first Thank you Jesus, God & Holy Spirit y’all always had my back and only you know all the tears and effort I put into school. God always takes care of his. Second very thankful for my family, boyfriend and friends. I was the first to graduate in my family and I know I wouldn’t have been able to if it wasn’t for their unconditional support. Very glad to be starting this new chapter of my life all at 19 years old. God is so good! Thank you once again loves for all the support, Diese a La Mode is back on and in full effect. Until next Friday.
